RELATING TO ENROLLMENT IN THE CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM. Awards $80 for each new enrollment of an eligible child in the children's health insurance program to parent-teachers associations, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations. Appropriates matching funds to DHS. Appropriates funds for training. |

SB 2039 |
RELATING TO VISITATION. Affirms sibling visitation rights and establishes procedures for enforcement and visitation. Establishes a rebuttable presumption in cases of the adoption of orphaned children that sibling visitation is in the best interests of the child. |

RELATING TO CHILD PROTECTION. Establishes guidelines for the court in determining release of information related to cases involving a missing child. |

RELATING TO CHILD PROTECTION. Expands the membership of the child protective review panel to include two community members who are active in the systemic reform of the child protection system. Clarifies the definition of "serious abuse" to include cases of missing children. |

SB 2045 |
RELATING TO EXPUNGEMENT. Makes technical, clarifying amendments to Act 233, SLH 2001, establishing procedures for expungement of juvenile arrest records; deletes the exemption that the court consult with the prosecuting attorney before expunging the arrest record of an adult who incurred the arrest as a juvenile. |

SB 2026 |
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INCREASED MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT. Appropriates $1 to DHS for FY 2002-2003 to increase Medicaid reimbursement rate to hospitals and physicians to cover medical services in Medicaid fee-for-service program; and to increase QUEST capitation payments to cover medical services to QUEST participants. |

SB 2052 |
RELATING TO SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS. Authorizes special purpose revenue bonds to finance health care facilities for Hawaii Pacific Health. |

RELATING TO SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BOUNDS. Repeals the sunset provision of the law allowing SPRBs to be issued to assist not-for-profit corporations that provide health care facilities to the general public. |

RELATING TO DENTAL HEALTH. Reduces the number of employees of the dental health division within the department of health. Places that division within the department's health resources administration. Provides that funds previously appropriated to support the division shall be used solely for purchase of services to monitor dental advocacy. |

RELATING TO AGING. Allows the Executive Office on Aging to provide family caregiver support program and training by making grants to counties and private entities to supplement federal program. |

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.
Persons wishing to testify should submit 25 copies of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 226 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
