RELATING TO ELECTIONS.

Changes primary from last Saturday of September to second Saturday in August. Provides for automatic recount for small vote difference if difference for: (1) Statewide office in votes cast between winning and losing candidate is 1/8 of 1 per cent of the total ballots cast; and (2) Any other state or county office in votes cast between candidates is 1/4 of 1 per cent of the total ballots cast.

RELATING TO ELECTION CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS.

Allows registered voters to take an income tax deduction for contributions to candidates seeking election to an office in the district in which the voter resides, regardless of whether the candidate has agreed to abide by campaign spending limits.
