Assists not-for-profit private elementary schools, secondary schools, colleges, and universities that serve the general public by authorizing the State to issue special purpose revenue bonds for their benefit. (HB2166 HD1)

RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

Appropriates funds for additional auditors, support staff, and initial one-time equipment start-up costs at DOE. (HB2751 HD1)

RELATING TO SCHOOL BUS FARES.

Establishes a school bus fare special fund for the deposit of school bus fares collected by schools from students and/or parents and guardians. Annual collections are to be used to fund the cost of providing contracted school bus services. (HB2480 HD1)

RELATING TO NEW CENTURY CONVERSION CHARTER SCHOOLS.

Allows a nonprofit organization to manage and operate a new century conversion charter school as a division of the nonprofit organization, in which the charter school's local school board would consist of the board of directors of the nonprofit organization. (HB2014 HD1)
