The purpose of the informational briefing is to discuss the overview, goals, objectives, issues, and concerns, as appropriate, of the Board of Education, the Department of Education, and Office of the State Librarian. Mr. Herbert Watanabe, Chair, BOE; Ms. Patricia Hamamoto, Superintendent of Education; and Ms. Virginia Lowell, State Librarian are requested to appear before the committees.
