RELATING TO TAX CREDITS.

Amends the hotel construction and remodeling tax credit by deleting the date by which construction or renovation costs must be incurred and inserting an unspecified date.

RELATING TO INCOME TAX CREDITS.

Provides a 10% commercial construction and remodeling tax credit for projects over $10 million.

RELATING TO THE MOVING EXPENSES TAX CREDIT.

Establishes a tax credit of up to $7,500 for moving expenses for persons who have either previously paid taxes or been claimed as a dependent on another's tax return and who return to Hawaii.

RELATING TO AN EXTENSION OF THE RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION AND REMODELING INCOME TAX CREDIT.

Extends the benefits of the nonrefundable 4 percent residential construction and remodeling income tax credit to costs incurred to May 31, 2005. Act 10, Third Special Session applies the credit to costs incurred before July 1, 2002.
