The purpose of the informational briefing is to discuss the status of the Barbers Point Naval Air Station redevelopment project. Discussion will center on the current pace of redevelopment activities; the accomplishments and ongoing responsibilities of the various parties, pending infrastructure needs and coordination issues. Specific topics to be discussed include: transfer of the local redevelopment authority; impediments to economic development; drainage and roadways; security and deterioration of facilities awaiting transfer; electrical service and communications; and water and sewer service. In view of the Commission’s approaching sunset date, representatives of the following agencies and groups are requested to appear before the committee to answer these and other questions on the redevelopment’s progress:
