SUBJECT: DEPARTMENT OF TAXATION

The Department of Taxation will present two issues to the Committee.

The first is a general overview of the taxes imposed by the State. The department will elaborate on the background, rationale, and actual collections on various taxes.

In addition, the department will provide a status report on the implementation of the department’s Integrated Tax Information Management System Project (ITIMS). The department will provide an overview including the background, intent, overall description, goals, benefits, actual results to date and proposals to the 2001 Legislature.
