AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE BERNICE PAUAHI BISHOP MUSEUM, OAHU.

Authorizes the issuance of, and appropriate, $5,000,000 in general obligation bonds for each of the fiscal years 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 to support the relocation of Bishop Museum.

Requires the department of land and natural resources to provide for the future direction, including a master plan, for publicly owned small boat harbors statewide. Appropriates funds. Requires report to the legislature.

relating to ala wai boat harbor.

Converts the Ala Wai boat harbor into an independent, privately managed marine park in accordance with an operating agreement based on principles of community-based management, to be entered into with the department of land and natural resources. (TAM, IHARA)
