The following bills are added to the agenda for hearing:

relating to student support services.

Require the DOE to provide: a full provider and service matrix of services which identity all available community and state resources; Hawaii Child and Adolescent System Service Principles; mental health services for students not deemed eligible for the Felix Class; interventions to correct present systemic problems that interfere with the smooth delivery of comprehensive student support services.(SD1)

Requires DOE and DOH to develop administrative rules for the individualized education program (IEP) and any other rules specifically applicable to the Felix class students. (SD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.

When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled) please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
