RELATING TO PUBLIC CONTRACTS.

Requires contractors under a public contract to provide their employees with specified minimum wages and days off. Provides for enforcement and penalties. (Hanabusa)

relating to alcohol, drugs, and highway safety.

Requires blood test if there is cause to believe person is under influence of an inhalant. (Bunda (BR))

Provides health care providers with immunity if blood or urine tests performed on a person involved in a motor vehicle collision indicates ability may have been impaired by drugs or alcohol, and the health care provider gives notice to law enforcement officer. (Bunda (BR))

relating to driving under the influence.

Requires the police to compel drivers to take a blood or urine test, or both, to determine a person's drug content. Amends the definition of "drug" to mean any chemical substance, natural or synthetic, that impairs the person's normal mental faculties or ability to care for the person and guard against casualty. RELATING TO THE USE OF INTOXICANTS.

Conforms amendments relating to revocation of motor vehicle registrations for repeat intoxicated drivers under ADLR proceedings with amendments that consolidate and conform offenses relating to operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant. (Bunda)

RELATING TO DISPLACED LESSEES.

Provides that lessees displaced from property already owned by the State or any county also qualify for a preference granting such lessees the right of first refusal for a lease at an eligible relocation site, and clarifies that the relocation sites must be in an existing or designated industrial park site. RELATING TO THE UTILIZATION OF FEDERAL FUNDS.

Requires unlicensed contractors (when found) from keeping moneys paid to them and require reimbursement of these moneys in a civil action to recover for work done. Failure to obtain a license is deemed unfair or deceptive practice if unlicensed contractor is found to violate chapter on restraint of trade. (Chun Oakland)

relating to motor vehicle insurance.

Limits assigned claims when there is no liability or uninsured motorist insurance benefits; deletes the owner, operator, or passenger of a motorcycle or motor scooter or a pedestrian involved in an accident with a motorcycle or motor scooter from disqualification from receiving assigned claim benefits. relating to uninsured motor vehicles.

Prohibits the driver of an uninsured motor vehicle that is involved in an accident from suing any other person. Allows a passenger in an uninsured motor vehicle involved in an accident to sue only the driver of that vehicle. (Kim)

relating to administrative procedures.

Allows administrative agencies to award attorneys' fees and costs for frivolous claims in any contested hearing cases. (Chumbley)

When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
