relating to veteran burial grants.

Requires the office of veterans services, on request of a deceased Filipino veteran's survivor/interested party, to make payment directly to a mortuary/crematory for funeral/burial services and to transport the remains to the Philippines, upon submission of an unpaid invoice; appropriates moneys.

RELATING TO THE KAHULUI ARMORY.

Transfers control of Kahului Armory to the Office of Veterans' Services for use as a veterans' center after the Department of Defense moves out. Establishes a veterans' center revolving fund to pay for repair and maintenance of the facility.

RELATING TO SUBMISSION OF REPORTS TO THE LEGISLATURE.

Requires the legislative reference bureau to track and monitor submission of annual and other reports to the legislature. Requires agencies to submit summary or highlights of each report, and post electronic copy of report on agency's website.

RELATING TO THE BUDGET.

Requires the executive branch to provide the legislature with electronic access to executive budget data. Appropriates funds for an online system.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.

Persons wishing to testify should submit 25 copies of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 230, State Capitol 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
