Redefines "government agency" for purposes of the public notice requirement by not including the counties except for state procurement code and purchase of health and human services. The redefinition would allow counties to select its own rather than a state-selected publication in which to place a public notice.

A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO USE OF INTOXICANTS.

Conforms amendments relating to revocation of motor vehicle registrations for repeat intoxicated drivers under ADLR proceedings with amendments that consolidate and conform offenses relating to operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant.

RELATING TO CIVIL LIABILITY.

Provides the means to expedite the dismissal of a lawsuit against a person for exercising the right to petition, including informing, seeking relief, or otherwise participating in the process of government.

RELATING TO RESTRAINT OF TRADE.

Clarifies that attorneys fees and costs may not be awarded to the plaintiff in an unfair trade practice suit brought by the State or a county; allows threefold compensatory damages for injuries sustained to property from unfair or deceptive trade practices; requires that consent decrees entered into before the filing of an action do not become final until 60 days from the filing of the consent judgment or decree or until final determination of exceptions.
