SB 555

relating to taxation.

Expands treatment of wholesale sales of services under the general excise tax by clarifying the cost of services.

SB 556

RELATING TO TAXATION.

Changes deductions taken by lessee for gross proceeds from subleased real property, to the amount of monetary gross proceeds or gross income paid for the property or space by the lessee or the amount of monetary gross proceeds received from sublessee for GET.

SB 656

relating to the general excise tax.

Accelerates the general excise tax deduction for the leasing and subleasing of real property by adopting the .875 deduction multiplier for calendar year 2002 and thereafter.

relating to cybersquatting.

Prohibits the bad faith registration of domain names on the Internet.

relating to kakaako community development.

Requires the HCDA to contract with a nonprofit organization for the purpose of organizing a multi-cultural village at Kakaako.

RELATING TO CABLE TELEVISION.

Requires the director of commerce and consumer affairs to establish a statewide cable access infrastructure plan.

RELATING TO TELEMARKETING.

Imposes criminal penalties for violation of the telemarketing fraud prevention law.
