§453-10 Witnesses in such proceeding. In any proceeding the board may subpoena, administer oaths to, and examine witnesses on any relevant matter in the proceeding. The board may subpoena physicians, osteopathic physicians, or surgeons as specialists, on the recommendation of the appropriate specialist society. The board may order a mental, physical, or medical competency examination to determine the capacity or ability of a licensee to continue to practice medicine or surgery and order appropriate specialist societies to conduct examinations. The person whose license is sought in the proceeding to be revoked, limited, or suspended shall be entitled to require the board or any member thereof to subpoena and to administer oaths to any witness who may be able to present evidence relevant in the proceeding, and shall be entitled to examine any witness in the proceeding. The circuit court of the circuit in which the proceeding is held may enforce by proper proceeding the attendance and testimony of witnesses in the proceeding.
