Daisy Hartsfield, a third-generation Waipahu resident, was appointed by Governor Josh Green, on January 12, 2026, to fill the vacancy of House District 36 (Waipahu) Representative. On January 21, 2026, Daisy was sworn in by Justice Sabrina McKenna during Opening Day of the Legislative Session.

Daisy is a proud Marauder! She attended Waipahu Elementary and Intermediate Schools and is a graduate of Waipahu High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Social Work, and a law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Daisy lives in a multi-generational home where the support of family shaped her view of life. She was raised alongside her maternal uncles, who immigrated from the Philippines. That experience opened her eyes to the challenges immigrants face and their struggles to assimilate to their adopted country.

Family is a priority to Daisy and she and her husband both agree that their greatest accomplishment has been raising wonderful children who have grown into respectable caring people.
