Elected in 2006, Representative Della Au Belatti is currently serving her 10th term as the Representative of State House District 26 (Makiki, Tantalus, Punchbowl, & Papakōlea). Representative Belatti is a practicing attorney, a former high school social studies teacher, and has served as a State Campaign Spending Commissioner.

Representative Belatti served as Chairperson of the House Committee on Health from 2013 to 2017, and 2022 to 2024. As Health Chair, she led the efforts to pass legislation protecting women's access to quality reproductive health care, establishing medical aid in dying and improved palliative care services, and strengthening Hawaii's system of mental and behavioral health care services, especially for vulnerable populations including youth, homeless, and justice-involved individuals.

Representative Belatti has also served as co-convener of the Women's Legislative Caucus from 2013-2018, and remains an active member of this Caucus today.

From 2018 to 2022, Representative Belatti served as Majority Leader of the Hawai'i House of Representatives and assisted in navigating the State through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, Representative Belatti is serving as Chairperson of the Hawai'i House Committee on Public Safety where she is focused on protecting our communities by reforming Hawaii's correctional systems by strengthening reentry services statewide, ensuring emergency preparedness for challenges posed by increasingly harsher weather and climate conditions, and strengthening relationships and partnerships with Hawaii's defense and military sectors.
